a Korean who has lived in Shenyang
for 28 years,
has deep feelings for Shenyang.
He has witnessed
the development and changes of the city
over the years.
In 1992,An Bongrak visited China for the first time.
As soon as he arrived in Shenyang,he was attracted by the strong cultural atmosphere and cultural connotation here.
"My parents used to live in China,and I heard a lot of stories about Shenyang before I came here.The first time I came here,I felt a sense of deja vu."
Recalling that trip,An Bongrak has a fresh memory.
The first time he came to Shenyang,he had plans to invest and start a business here.
After more than a year of detailed market research,his company was established in Shenyang in 1994.
He named the company"New Life",hoping that through hard work,more people could feel happiness and hope in life,and he also started a new life in Shenyang.
"I am 60 years old this year,and I have spent nearly half of my life in Shenyang.So I think I am qualified to say that Shenyang is my second hometown!"
An Bongrak has deep feelings for Shenyang.
He also wants to do his best to give back to his second hometown.
Over the years,An Bongrak has been actively involved in philanthropy.
He has funded the Shenyang Disabled People's Art Troupe for more than 20 years to help disabled performers realize their dreams.
New Life Group has also carried out public welfare activities for autistic children and raised funds to provide scholarships for poor students.
Nowadays,
An Bongrak's family
enjoys living in Shenyang very much.
On weekends,
the family usually goes to the park
near Changbai Island.
Setting up a tent for a picnic
and drinking some wine in the breeze,
they enjoy the happy time
with each other.
