Shenyang Statistics Bureau released data on February 25.In 2021,Shenyang firmly grasped the leading position of agriculture,vigorously developed modern agriculture and characteristic agriculture,solidly implemented the strategy of rural revitalization,and continuously improved the level of agricultural development.Shenyang's agricultural economy showed a stable and good development trend,laying a solid foundation for "the 14th Five-Year Plan".

Growth rate of output value of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry,and fishery industry reaches the highest in the past five years

In 2021,the total output value of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery in Shenyang was 65.73 billion yuan,a comparable increase of 4.4%and an increase of 1.6 percentage points over the same period of the previous year.Judging from the situation in the past five years,the total output value of the city's agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery industry continues to grow,and the growth rate of output value in 2021 is the highest level in the past five years.

From the structure of output value,the output value of planting industry reached 30.48 billion yuan,an increase of 2.8%.The output value of animal husbandry reached 28.68 billion yuan,an increase of 6.6%.The output value of forestry reached 970 million yuan,an increase of 2.3%.The output value of fishery reached 2.77 billion yuan,an increase of 1.5%.The output value of agriculture,forestry and fishery services reached 2.82 billion yuan,an increase of 4.3%.

The proportion of the output value structure of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery in the city is 46.4:1.5:43.6:4.2:4.3.Planting and animal husbandry are dominant,accounting for 90.0%of the total output value of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery.

Main contribution of grain output growth comes from corn

In 2021,the grain sown area in Shenyang was 542.3 thousand hectares,a year-on-year increase of 0.3%.The grain output was 4.186 million tons,a year-on-year increase of 2.2%,up 3,000 tons from the historical peak of 2019.The main contribution of grain output growth comes from corn planting,with the sown area of corn of 398.1 thousand hectares,a year-on-year increase of 1.8%.The output was 3.172 million tons,a year-on-year increase of 6.3%.The soybean planting is also gratifying,with the sown area of 9.0 thousand hectares,up by 15.3%year-on-year.The output was 22,000 tons,a year-on-year increase of 29.5%.The sown area of rice was 121.9 thousand hectares,a year-on-year decrease of 2.9%.The output was 945,000 tons,a year-on-year decrease of 7.6%.

The yield of celery,cowpea and other varieties increased greatly

In 2021,the sown area of vegetables in Shenyang was 62.5 thousand hectares,a year-on-year increase of 0.04%.The output of vegetables was 3.908 million tons,a year-on-year increase of 1.7%.From the perspective of vegetable planting types,the yield of celery,cowpea,edible fungi and other varieties increased greatly.The greenhouse vegetable in Shenyang remained stable,with the annual output of 1.988 million tons,the same as in 2020.The output of fruits was 1.172 million tons,which was the same as that of the previous year,among which the Red Fuji apples and pears increased greatly.

According to the feedback from Shenyang Investigation Team of National Bureau of Statistics,at the end of 2021,the output of poultry(pork,beef and mutton)in the city was 708,000 tons,an increase of 26,000 tons or 3.8%over the previous year.

The city actively implemented the policy of stable production and supply of pigs,and the pork supply was sufficient.The amount of livestock on hand for pigs was 2.128 million,down 7.0%year on year;the amount of slaughtering and marketing for pigs was 3.642 million pigs,up 0.3%year on year.The amount of livestock on hand for cattle was 939,000,up 15.2%year on year;the amount of slaughtering and marketing for cattle was 739,000,down 0.5%year on year.
