The charging station where Ms. Chen charges her car is newly built, which is equipped with three charging terminals, two for fast charging and one for slow charging. Mr. He, a resident living nearby, often drove his car here after work in the evening for charging all night in the slow charging mode, and drove off to work the next morning. According to incomplete statistics, as of the end of 2021, the number of public charging terminals built by market players including State Grid, China Tower and new energy vehicle enterprises in Shenyang has been up to about 2,600.
Not only that, as a supplement to charging, the electric vehicle switching mode has also emerged in the new energy vehicle market in Shenyang. A staff of NIO told the reporter that in addition to charging stations, NIO has built several electric vehicle switching stations in Shenyang to provide NIO buyers with certain times of free switching services every year, and it takes only a few minutes for the vehicle owners to complete the switching.
Small charging piles hold up the big market of new energy vehicles, and the increasingly convenient public charging facilities in Shenyang have constantly increased the market sales of new energy vehicles. According to the latest statistics, from January to November, 2021, the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles in the city had reached 8,651, with a year-on-year increase of 182.55%.
