Here comes the latest news on Shenyang Metro Line 3!

On December 2,the BMW Depot Project Complex of Shenyang Metro Line 3 was successfully capped,marking the phased progress in the construction of the depot project.

The BMW Depot Complex comprises aboveground and underground parts, with 6 floors above ground and 1 floor under ground. The aboveground part consists of production, office and living rooms, while the underground part mainly consists of garage, fire pool and equipment room, including civil air defense area and non civil air defense area.The height of the building is 28.27 meters, with a total construction area of 27,949.34 square meters. Its main body adopts a frame structure, and the foundation adopts a raft foundation.

The first phase of Shenyang Metro Line 3 starts from Lida Station, passes through Tiexi District, Heping District, Yuhong District, Shenhe District and Dadong District, and runs through Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Yuhong New Town, Huaxiang Residential Area, Shashan Residential Area, Nanhu Area, Wenhua Road, Nanta Area, Fangjialan Area, Dongta Area and other areas, roughly in an east-west direction.

The total length of the first phase of Shenyang Metro Line 3 is about 41 kilometers with 30 stations. Among them, there are 21 underground stations and 9 elevated stations. Therefore, Line 3 is also known as Shenyang's first "elevated metro".According to the previous plan, the western section of Metro Line 3 (from BMW's new plant to Yuhong New Town) will be opened to traffic in 2025.
