At present,it is the golden period of autumn construction,and the renovation site of Gongnong Bridge shows a busy scene.The project is in full swing to ensure to complete the renovation of the east vehicular bridge by the end of October,transforming the main bridge from the original two-way 6 lanes to the two-way 10 lanes.

The renovation project of Gongnong Bridge and Nanjing Street-Nandi Road Interchange starts from the south of Nandi Road in the south and ends at the Second Ring Road in the north. The main bridge of the Gongnong Bridge is 550 meters long in total.

Since the start of construction in November last year, after the intensive construction by the builders, the demolition of the old west bridge and the construction and opening of the new vehicular bridge have been completed in just 9 months, shortening the construction period from originally planned 2 year to 1 year.

At present, the project progress in physical shape has been completed by 70%. The substructure of the project has been fully completed, and the west vehicular bridge has been opened for traffic.

When the renovation is completed by the end of the year, Gongnong Bridge will completely solve the structural safety issues of the old bridge.Moreover, the expansion of the main bridge will be achieved, and the node of Nandi Road will achieve full cloverleaf interchange, which will greatly alleviate the traffic pressure, and also make the Gongnong Bridge become the "image representative" among cross-Hunhe River bridges in Shenyang.
