Quezon City is the former capital of the Philippines (1948-1976). It's named after Manuel Quezon, the former president of the Philippines. It's one of the 13 satellite cities of Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and the biggest city of Luzon and Metro Manila. It covers 166.2 square meters, about one quarter of the total area of Metro Manila. It's also the most populous city. There are about 2.3 million residents in Quezon City.Shenyang established the sister relationship with Quezon City on May 7, 1993.Quezon City is the 7th sister city of Shenyang.
