On October 25, the General Office of the State Council issued the Letter on Approving Liaoning Province to Host the 15th National Winter Games in 2028.Liaoning Province will host the 15th National Winter Games.

An "Ice Sports Central Venue Cluster" will be built in Shenyang Wangjiawan Area, the location of the ice sports venues for the 15th National Winter Games, including speed skating venue, ice sports comprehensive venue and curling venue.After its completion, the "Ice Sports Central Venue Cluster" can undertake ice sports events for the National Winter Games.

At present, the construction of venues and infrastructure is vigorously promoted in Wangjiawan Area.In terms of road and drainage engineering, the construction on Zhukedongyi Street, Yangguan Street, and Xinnandi Road is planned to be completed by the end of the year and achieve the preliminary formation of road network.The pipe rack project will start construction on a large scale next year, 80% of which is planned to be completed by the end of next year.The venues are planned to start construction from March to May next year.
